Evaluation of the Ecodesign Directive - 3rd stakeholder meeting

CSES organised with great success the 3rd stakeholder meeting of the evaluation of the Ecodesign Directive on January 18 2012. It was attended by more than 80 participants representing Member States' authorities, industry and the civic society.

The evaluation study examines the effectiveness and efficiency of the Ecodesign Directive and the respective Implementing Measures setting eco-design requirements on a range of energy using products (e.g. televisions, white goods, electric motors, domestic and tertiary lighting).  In parallel, CSES has been asked to assess the appropriateness and feasiblity of an extension to cover non-energy related products and means of transport.

The purpose of the meeting was to present the findings of the study and the main conclusions and recommendation. Stakeholders were given the opportunity to provide feedback that will be used in the preparation of the final report of the study.
