Meetings

During the study, stakeholders are invited participate in three meetings covering respectively the initial consideration of evidence, the First Findings and the draft final report. More information on these meetings including the presentations of the evaluation team and stakeholders and detailed notes are available in the sections below.  


Third stakeholders' meeting - 18 January 2012 

The third stakeholders meeting took place on 18th January 2012 with the participation of over 85 stakeholders representing Member States' authorities, industry, environmental and consumer groups and Ecodesign experts. It followed the publication of the Draft Final Report on December 16th.

The objective of the meeting was for the Evaluation team to present findings, conclusions and recommendations in relation to the evaluation of the Ecodesign Directive and to present its analysis and conclusions on the overall issue of appropriateness and feasibility and the priority list of products with regard to extension of the Directive. In the same time Stakeholders had the opportunity to comment on the conclusions and make suggestions to be considered for the final report and on the analysis presented and also validate or propose changes to conclusions.

Additional written feedback from stakeholders on any aspect of the evaluation to be submitted by 27 January 2012.

The meeting was organised along three sessions initiated by a presentation of the findings of the study and followed by short presentations by stakeholders referring to their own experience from the implementation of the Directive so far:

Final report to be submitted to the Commission by 20 February 2012. The final report will be made available once approved by the Commission services.


Second stakeholders' meeting  -  5 October 2011

The second stakeholders meeting took place on 5th October with the participation of over 80 stakeholders representing Member States' authorities, industry, environmental and consumer groups and Ecodesign experts. It followed the publication of the First Findings and Recommendations Report on September 19th. The objective at this stage is to receive feedback from stakeholders in relation to the various issues examined in the report.

The meeting was organised along three sessions initiated by a presentation of the findings of the study and followed by short presentations by stakeholders referring to their own experience from the implementation of the Directive so far:

First stakeholders meeting - 10 May 2011

The first stakeholder meeting took place on May 10 with the participation of over 60 stakeholders representing Member States' authorities, industry, environmental and consumer broups and eco-design experts. 

The meeting was organised along  four sessions that focused on the key issues that will be examined during the evaluation. Each session was based on a presentation by CSES and its partners, Oxford Research, followed by presentations by stakeholders presenting their own experience from the implementation of the Directive so far :
